Two parents and two or three kids was the perceived norm. It was rarely true, but it was a convenient stereotype. Now, “Less than half (46%) of U.S. kids younger than 18 years of age are living in a home with two married heterosexual parents in their first marriage.” – Pew Research Center

Families are changing because the world is changing. A new norm may arise, but it will probably take generations. In the meantime, as long as it is based on love and respect, celebrate it.
